TCSB

the softball season has officially started! the trinity bantams are 7-5, maybe not as well as we should be doing, but the best start of a season i've had in 4 years. we had a GREAT time in florida. my parents were down, my grandparents visited, and the people i babysat last year even came for a day! the weather was beautiful, not a cloud in the sky and not too humid! great softball and a lot of fun as usual! i'm very much looking forward to my last season as a bantam, it's great being the oldest on the team and really filling my position as a leader. we have amherst tomorrow for our home opener and conference play starts this weekend with bowdoin. we're hoping for a lot of w's this week! wish us luck!

birthday lull and extracurriculars

i have been pretty absent lately on my blog but that's only because nothing too exciting has been going on. of course my birthday was excellent but since it's almost been a week since it's happened, most people have forgotten already! rude. since softball has started it's mostly all i do and think about. we've only had one day off since the start of the season so softball is basically the only thing on my plate right now. but it's going really well. the team looks good and is gelling together. we've had two scrimmages so far that have gone really well. we leave for florida in just a matter of weeks to start spring training. i can't wait to get out of our fieldhouse and into warm weather to play some good softball. i'll let you all know what next exciting thing is that happens in life.

boob tube

last night i finally completed all five seasons of the show the wire. i was happy to get to the end but devastated now that it's over. any other good suggestions?? i need a show with lots of seasons that's easily accessible online. on tv i'm currently watching glee, gossip girl, grey's anatomy, and greek (lots of g's) while also trying to stay on top of modern family and svu. oh yes, college life presents it self with LOTS of down time, even when in season. speaking of the season.....february is filled with lots of "holidays": valentines day (which can be good or bad depending on your situation lol), my birthday (ok and my dad's birthday), and the start of softball (my last first day of softball). i'm looking forward to the rest of this month.....smooth sailing. and for the love of someone, please stop snowing!

bye bye gally!

DC for new years!
Before surgery

well now i've been home from school for a while. christmas was excellent, i went to dc for new years to spend it with friends, done a little babysitting, some softball stuff here and there, starting applications for jobs, and relaxing as much as i can. i have two weeks left of break but i'm sure i'll get in more relaxing and more fun times. yesterday i had my gallbladder taken out because of gallstones, everything went very well but now i am quite sore. so i expect to spend a lot of time on the couch the next few days. then on saturday my sister and niece are flying in new mexico to spend time here. this upcoming weekend we will have my mom, dad, both sisters, brother in law, and two nieces under one roof..... i can't wait!!!! the pictures will be epic!
